At Stars of Bowness, we believe that kindness is more than a value, it’s a way of life. 

Since the day we opened our doors, we’ve committed ourselves to not only serving our clients with excellence, but also to serving our community with compassion. One of the most important ways we do this is through our ongoing Random Acts of Kindness initiative.

Every month, without fail, members our team dedicate time and energy to provide free services for those in need, offering up to three hours of no-cost help to individuals and families across the local area. These acts are not a publicity stunt or occasional gesture; they are a core part of who we are.

Our Random Acts of Kindness have taken many forms, depending on the season, the needs of the community, and the resources available. Here are just a few examples of the support we’ve proudly provided so far:

Food bank collections: We’ve gathered and delivered over 150 kilograms of food to support our local food bank, helping stock the shelves that so many families rely on.

Charity sponsorship and fundraisers: From donating supplies to sponsoring local events and causes, we’re proud to back those working hard to make a difference in our area.

Christmas hamper donations: Each holiday season, we donate ingredients and festive treats to charities that create Christmas hampers for those who might otherwise go without. One year, we helped fed over 100 people on Christmas day.

Guiding the visually impaired: One of our most touching experiences involved guiding a blind lady on her holiday around the Lake District, making her visit as joyful, accessible, and memorable as possible.

Flood Relief and Home Recovery: When disaster struck, we stepped in to help with clean-up and recovery efforts — clearing debris, cleaning homes, and offering comfort in a time of crisis.

Home Cleans and Garden Makeovers: We’ve transformed neglected gardens, tidied overgrown spaces, and offered professional-level home cleaning to those unable to do it themselves due to illness, age, or difficult life circumstances.

These acts aren’t always grand in scale, but they are always genuine, heartfelt, and offered with no expectation in return. Whether it's helping someone move furniture, mow a lawn, or simply lighten a heavy load, we show up, we give our best, and we bring a bit of brightness wherever we can.
