We Are Here For You With Stars!

Here For You at Stars is our add-on business. Before moving to Bowness-on-Windermere, our founder ran a small solo business back in her home town. This business was called Here For You. Here For You offered a combination of day to day errands that people needed help with or that they did not have the time for. 

This included, but was not limited to: Child minding and School runs, Dog Walking, Pet sitting, Shopping for elderly locals , House sitting, Washing, Drying and Ironing clothes, Arranging appointments/filling out forms and such for anybody who needed support, House cleans and Decluttering and more.

We have tried to incorporate a piece of Here For You into what we are doing here at Stars all these years later!

Below is a list of some of the things Here For You at Stars currently assists the community with. We are open to suggestions to add to our Here For You service. If you have a request that is not listed, please do not hesitate to get in touch. 

If We Can - We Will! 

~If you cannot get to the shop for one reason or another, give us a call and as soon as somebody is available, we will take your order and deliver it to your door. (This service also includes an option for having us collect your takeaway order from any food outlet in Bowness or Windermere). Please note, age restricted items will require proof of I.D on delivery.

~You need somebody to walk or feed your dog for you.

~You need a prescription collecting from the chemist.

~You need assistance in preparing or cooking meals.

~You need somebody to speak on your behalf on the telephone. (This service is helpful too and used regularly by many people in the town who do not speak English as their first language).

~You need some help decluttering and re-organising you home.

~You want fresh flowers delivered to you home once a week without having to remember? The newspaper once a day? Regular bread and milk dropped on your doorstep early morning?

 Contact us to be added to our Regulars Round. This service (Regular Round service) comes in 3, 6 or 12 month contracts and will automatically receive our 5% discount.

~Stars of Bowness is happy to assist with things such as gardening or shopping and so on. 

This service is often used by the likes of the elderly or by people recovering from an injury or illness who live alone and still wish to keep up with their own activities but who would like the reassurance of knowing they are not alone while doing so.

~Stars of Bowness does offer a childminding and school run service. However, please bear in mind that only Laura, the Owner, works in this section. Availability will reflect this. 

If you would like us to care for or collect your child, we offer, upon initial introduction, an hour for free at a place and time of your choosing. This gives your child and you time to become familiarised with a new person. If you are then happy to proceed, we are here for you. If after one hour you feel you would like more introductory time this will be charged at our flat rate of £30 pound per hour, per child. 

If you require us to collect your child from school and drop them home with you, you will initially need to give written permission to your child's school to authorise us taking them off the premises. 

Stars of Bowness also includes a 'Stars Extra' section. Stars Extras include miscellaneous services so be sure to familiarise yourself with the things we offer: you never know when you might just need one of our services.
